For Halloween '05 we hosted a huge party in our appartment. Back when I started dating Alan, his friends teased him that he had a robot girlfriend (because they didn't meet me for quite a while). So I thought it would be amusing to costume as his robot girlfriend. I looked up a huge number of pictures of robot girls as inspiration, but ended up drawing on the costume pieces I could find.
I'm wearing a silver body suit (which I had to alter heavily to get it to fit me) and a black dress that I got a thrift store. I'm also wearing a whole lot of aluminum makeup. It was very unpleasant. Mythbusters weren't kidding when they said the stuff doesn't breath. I had just gotten my hair permed, so it looked like a giant disaster (and I couldn't wash it). I'm never doing that again.
