Just after Christmas 2005, Alan and I went out to Maryland to visit my parents and generally tourist for a week. Among other fun things, we spent a day in the National Zoo in Washington DC. I had very fond memories of the zoo from my childhood and I was not disappointed. I still love the invertebrate house, although the spiders scare me more now. We even saw the proud panda parents!
These pictures were all taken on Alan's camera. I took some and he took others. At this point I don't remember which are which. I want to note that I didn't name these after the actual animals so much as trying to keep similar stuff together. I'm aware that some of the things I labeled turtle might be tortoises, etc.
