Gaming Writing

I have been spending a decent amount of time writing game notes for the D20 Future game that I am currently playing in. I am actually curious how coherent/interesting what I have produced is. I do not count myself as a very good writer.

So if you are reading this, not in the game, and a diary with a story in the future filled with magic and high tech sounds interesting, I would really appreciate some feedback. The notes can be found in the gaming section of this web page and folks can add comments to this post with their thoughts or email me. ^_^

(Thanks!)

Snow!

We've gotten about a foot of snow today. It's awesome. ^_^

I am somewhat disturbed that every place of food-getting is closed though, even Denny's.

Reading for V-day

There are some good things about being a graduate student. I have health care. I get paid (not too badly). I get to take interesting and challenging classes...

Having to read six papers (10 to 11 pages each) on Valentines day is not one of those good things.

LARPing!

Due to the kindness of Alan's brother Mark, I get to play in a LARP this Saturday. Woo!
I'm very much looking forward to it, but I'm faced with the problem of pockets.

I'm going to be dressed in more or less formal-ish wear, but no one makes women's dress pants or slacks (or even skirts) with pockets in them, and they sure as heck don't make women's shirts with any useful sort of pocket. Do designers think we don't ever want to carry anything? I don't know about other folks, but I don't want to be shackled to a purse, especially at an event where people might steal any props I get/find/lift from other players. Also, why is it that the only slacks that I can find are basically stretch painted onto my legs? Even if they had pockets you could tell how many quarters I was carrying by the bulges!

I think I may have to resort to shoving things down my bra for storage.
Whoever designs women's slacks, you are all lame. >:(

Also, I can't believe the Blogger spell checker doesn't know the word blogger. How sad.

Blogger hides things in dark holes

So as you can see I managed to get a Blogger blog embedded in my front page. Unfortunatly Blogger doesn't really play nice with IceFrog, which I'm using to create the rest of my web page. So I had to custom code a Blogger template that can pretend to be my normal layout. Bleh.

Also, Blogger hides information on how to make templates in some sort of black hole that requires site searching on google for the specific Blogger tags in order to find the damn tutorial... grr...
